90 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; the bouquet has a mix of powerful savoury/earthy cabernet fruit together with a sweeter, more chocolatey component contributed by the McLaren Vale material. The palate is concentrated and weighty, with a mix of blackberry, currant and chocolate flavours; an excellent balance has been achieved between fruit and oak, and the wine can be approached without undue caution. Drink to 2010.
