90 Points James Halliday
Light to medium red; the bouquet is clean, but, as seems so often to be the case, surprisingly light in terms of fruit concentration. The palate is delicately structured; very fine tannins running through the wine are a feature, giving an even flavour and texture profile from the moment of entry to the finish. The harmony and balance make the wine easy to overlook. Retasted October 1996, and once again regional characters coming through strongly. Drink to 2003.
