92 Points Robert Parker
Deep garnet-brick in color, the 2002 Katnook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon shows a wonderfully evolved nose with pronounced earthy and gamey notes allied to a core of creme de cassis, dried mint and a touch of smoked meat. Medium to full-bodied, it has a rich, concentrated palate marked by just a slight herbal lift, crisp acid and medium to firm, grainy tannins. It finishes long. Drink now.

92 Points James Halliday
Powerful, concentrated and focused black fruits and earth plus touches of bitter chocolate; tannins imposing, but balanced by fruit and oak. Drink to 2017.
