The 2002 Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon Dove Tail was aged in equal parts American and French oak. Its dark ruby/purple color is followed by a rich bouquet of chocolate, coffee, blackberries, and currants, a layered mouthfeel, a corpulent, chunky texture, and loads of fruit and glycerin. Consume this hedonistic 2002 over the next 4-5 years.

Given the current Cellarit asking price ($6) all I was hoping for was an easy wine to gulp down with my takeaway Turkish Pide, but this is better than a simple quaffer. Dark reddish purple. Nose of sweet oak, leather, coffee grounds, berries. Juicy, blackcurrant, currants, plum, a little mint and tobacco. Soft fine tannins and cassis on the finish. Enjoyable wine that improved over the hour or so that it took to consume the bottle. Drink Now
