90 Points James Halliday
Medium to full red-purple; the bouquet has ripe, dark berry fruit, a hint of chocolate and restrained oak. There is lots of cassis/blackberry fruit concentration and lingering tannins on the palate. Tasted as a tank sample shortly before bottling, and the points may prove conservative. Drink to 2009.

Nicely aged Coonawarra cabernet. 95% cab and 5% merlot. Appealing reddish purple colour. Quite an oaky nose, earthy and leafy too, with a hint of black fruit. Tastes mostly of blackcurrant and American oak, also of mint, fruit cake, coffee, and savoury meatiness. Tannins have integrated, good balance. Drying finish. Drank best after an hour in the decanter. Drink in the next 1 to 5 years
