"Too much work at the moment. Not much time for tasting. This is the second last of the Penfold’s bin releases to be reviewed. The 2005 Bin 128 should be up for the chop tomorrow night. See how terse I am? Something has to give!
Aromas of boysenberry, fresh red fruit, pepper, aniseed and light cedar oak. Very attractive smelling wine. There are some botanical vaguely gin like smells too. On the palate medium bodied with fresh red fruit, spices, pepper, bay leaf and licorice root flavours. Light fine tannins and prominent fresh acidity. Finishes dry and spicy. Really nice wine with a light but sure touch."
