Huon Hooke
Light to medium yellow colour, very good for its age. Creamy, nutty, toasted nut aromas, very delicious, inviting and quite complex. Still youthful. Lemony fresh and crisp, taut, refined, subtle and smooth, Lovely wine indeed. Fruit-driven and smooth, refined, long palate. Has many years left in it. Still youthful at 7 years.

The 2005 Chardonnay Bin 311 Tumbarumba was fermented in old French oak and matured on its lees in stainless steel. It displays abundant quantities of tropical fruits along with hints of pineapple, grapefruit, and minerals. Medium-bodied, crisp, pure, and stylish, this Chablis look-alike should drink well for 1-3 years.

94 Points James Halliday
Complex, faintly funky, French oak barrel ferment aromas lead into intense nectarine and grapefruit flavours, the oak just emerging again on the finish. High quality cool climate style. Drink to 2010.
