Huon Hooke
Deep, dark wine with a tawny/brick-red rim. The bouquet is iron-like, stony, and the palate is hard and astringent. The wine is a bit aggressive. A lot of oak seems to have been used. The tannins are not very friendly, even after 28 years! It's a good wine, though it demands food. It certainly has concentration.
