Ranked #1 of 15 2005 Shiraz from Adelaide Hills
Deep red purple, spicy nose possibly with some viognier floral lift. Palate is fleshy and smooth, supple and deliciously textured; clean and dry but soft, and the alcohol is balanced. Very long. Tannins are supple, ripe and glossy. Superior stuff; a lovely sexy wine.
90 Points Robert Parker
The 2005 Shiraz is deep purple with aromas of smoke, pepper, saddle leather, game, and blueberry. Medium- to full-bodied, this is a nicely balanced, elegantly styled Shiraz with well-concealed soft tannins, good depth and excellent concentration. It should evolve for several years and drink well through 2020.
