89 Points Robert Parker
The rich, soft 2001 Shiraz Reserve H J reveals supple tannin, but also a surprising amount of new oak that pushes the fruit to the background, leaving the wine slightly out of balance at present. Perhaps I tasted it on a bad day. It may become more impressive as it ages, but it did not perform as well as its two siblings.
