Medium dark red purple, dark colour. Oak-infused, seems concentrated but the tannins are tough and also concentrated, and it seems out of balance. Juice runoff? Oaky too. Not balanced or elegant. Hard, tough, somewhat oaky tannins.

Good colour; like the Shiraz, has more tannins and extract than earlier vintages, but the black fruits and oak do have the strength to carry the extract. Simply needs time. Drink to 2020.
