Meaty, toasted nut developed and mellow roasting pan juices complexity. Like this. Soft, smooth, fleshy and savoury. Meaty flavours. Complex, gentle and savoury. Lovely balance. Drinking perfectly in the zone now, but will go on for many years.

Medium to full purple-red; young, ripe juicy red berry fruit with some plummy notes and subtle oak. The palate shows abundant, very ripe, high-toned fruit with tannins to match. Will live forever, and be very good, but not quite in the class of the '90. Drink to 2005.
