Ranked #12 of 22 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra
Deep, dark red colour. Meaty, earthy, savoury bouquet; toasted and cedar-like accents from oak and age. Rather forward developed. Slightly fumey. Sumptuous and fleshy, a little middle-palate heat from alcohol high in the roof of the mouth. Ample tannins, rich and dense, but nothing like as harmonious as the '06.
Drink: 2012 to 2017
87 Points James Halliday
Good colour; the varietal expression on the bouquet is clear, but on the palate loses focus; the flavours are pleasant, but stall on the finish. Drink to 2014.
