Huon Hooke
Medium dark red purple. Sweet blackberry nose; some anise; mint/eucalyptus later. Like so often with minty/gumleafy wines, this is a bit firm and harsh in its texture. Monosyllabic, conventional Oz shiraz with lashings of sweet fruit. It will age well, but may not do very much with aging. A big, bold, generus, but ultimately rather plain red wine.
