91 Points Robert Parker
Deep garnet in color, the 2006 Gaia shows off aromas of creme de cassis, plum pudding and blackberry compote over spice box, black olive and mocha and touches of raw meat. With medium to firm, fine tannins and a tight frame, the palate has great balance, crisp acid and a long, muscular finish. Drink it now to 2024+.

95 Points James Halliday
Pristine colour; a complex and appealing mix of red and blackcurrant, black olive, a dash of herbs, and beautifully handled oak; the palate is surprisingly generous and open knit, but offers a long, fine, ample and seductive fine-grained tannin finish; beautiful balance, as befits the name. Drink to 2020.
