Ranked #26 of 52 2008 Pinot Noir from Mornington Peninsula
Medium red to brick-red colour, the bouquet very mellow and earthy, leathery, savoury, with a hint of Burgundian 'animal' starting up. An interesting wine. The tannin/oak firmness is just a bit overdone: it would have been rather tannic and dry when it was young.
Drink: 2018 to 2018
89 Points Robert Parker
Revealing a pale to medium ruby color, the 2008 Pinot Noir is pure strawberry and raspberry scented. Crisp with a low level of fine tannins, it has medium to full body and a long finish with a good amount of juicy fruit. Drinking now, it should keep to 2014+.
