Huon Hooke
Deep red-purple: excellent colour. Toasty oak leads the way: toasty/charry savoury bouquet, earth and blackberry buried within. Full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, rich and borders on opulent. Full palate and long, extended finish. Smooth and ample tannins. Very smart wine in a fairly oak-driven style.

Dense purple-crimson; this is a remarkably balanced and harmonious wine, reflecting the 91-year-old vines; the aromas and flavours revolve around the core of black fruits, adding spice, licorice, quality oak and ripe tannins. Drink to 2020.
