Sumptuous wine, drinking at its best right now at 24 years of age. Marvellous richness, depth and concentration, the texture velvet-smooth and fleshy, the warmth of alcohol evident but not overdone, the tannins supple and richly textured. It's big on earthy, dried-mushroom, fungal scents, and very complex. Has many years left in it. (cork; 14% alc.)
