Huon Hooke
Dark red/purple/black colour; looks overripe. Smells overripe and verging on porty. Sweet middle surrounded by harsh astringent tannins and a dead-fruit desiccated character. Quite oaky and lacks freshness and vitality
Tasted: 01/12/2011
Drink: 2012 to 2012
91.5 Points Robert Parker
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Greenock Shiraz reveals notes of crushed blackberries and blueberries highlighted by cedar, toast, dried thyme and soy hints. Full-bodied and tightly knit, it shows plenty of youthful black fruit flavor supported by crisp acid and a medium to firm level of grainy tannins before finishing with good persistence. Drink it now to 2020+.

94 Points James Halliday
Deep, dark purple-crimson; a wine literally dripping a stream of flavours, each succeeding the other until the round robin starts again; licorice, oriental spice, black fruits, mocha and much else is to be found on the bouquet and medium- to full-bodied palate; has outstanding length, augmented by savoury tannins on the finish. Drink to 2024.
