Huon Hooke
Good colour: deep and purply. Rich, ripe berries and chocolate, a trace of mint. Full-bodied and has a big impact, tannic and solid. A big grip. Dense and chewy. Massive wine. Ticks all the boxes.

Deep, bright purple-crimson; the naturally succulent nature of Langhorne Creek's red wines is heightened here by the traditional Blass method of finishing the fermentation in oak; the wine abounds with blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry fruit, so intense is the fruit that you don't pay any attention to the alcohol. It's a good example of the Wolf Blass style, love it or hate it. Drink to 2030.
