Ranked #5 of 19 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz from Coonawarra
The wine is very minty - true to its vineyard - but has mellowed into a quite complex mature wine. Ripe, soft, fleshy wine of good intensity; drinking very well now. Many years ahead of it.
Drink: 2018 to 2032
94 Points James Halliday
Bright red-purple; as usual, a blend of cabernet sauvignon and shiraz that has an expressive fruit bouquet, the layered palate ranging through plum, blackberry and blackcurrant with an undertone of Coonawarra mint, the tannins fine and ripe, oak doing its job well. Drink to 2020.
