Medium deep red purple. Very good color. Subdued toasty nutty aromas, plenty of oak. Medium-bodied and leanish, falling away at the back. Pleasant flavour, correct ripeness, lighter medium-bodied style, not oaky in mouth, a decent wine.

Strong colour; has more depth, structure and texture than many prior vintages; black bramble and Coonawarra earth fruits define the bouquet, oak and tannins welded on to those characters on the full-bodied palate.
