96 Points James Halliday

A 75/25% blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the colour bright crimson-purple, the aromas and flavours circling around cassis. In one sense it is impossibly young, in another juicy and seductive. It is no more than medium-bodied, but has excellent depth to its layers of flavour, and very good length. Drink to 2034.

Retains good hue; an intense and complex blend (Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc/Merlot), the bouquet with ripe blackcurrant fruit, the medium- to full-bodied palate with great structure for the display of black and red fruits running through to the long finish. Drink to 2027.

Exceptionally strong purple-red; waves of perfectly-ripened blackcurrant and blackberry fruit rise from the glass, leading on to a powerful but classic palate, eerily like a top young Bordeaux from a ripe year; fine, soft tannins and integrated oak round off a magical glass. Drink to 2004.

94 Points James Halliday

Deep crimson; fresh red fruits and with some floral violet complexity, as well as a seasoning of eucalypt; medium-bodied and elegantly detailed with super fine-grained tannins, and an harmonious, complex and even conclusion. An 85/15% blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Drink to 2025.

Deep purple-red; spotlessly smooth, sweet and clean, with classic dark berry/cassis fruit with very good oak handling. The palate is everything the bouquet promises, beautifully balanced with dark briary/berry/cassis flavours, soft but persistent tannins and subtle oak. Truly outstanding. Drink to 2002.

600 dozen produced. The cool year is writ large. Green herb aromas and flavours abound. Slim fruit profile but lengthy through the finish. Violet, boysenberry, twigs and mint. Takes a while to get your head around it, to come at its way of thinking. There's no real volume or fruit sweetness but its tendrils still manage to get into you. Drink to 2021.

91 Points James Halliday

Dense red-purple; a clean and powerful bouquet with cedary/briary overtones running through ripe dark fruits. The palate is powerful and concentrated with dark briary berry flavours, and supple but quite evident tannins. Of very high quality, though without the sheer brilliance of prior vintages, perhaps. Drink to 2001.
