87 Points Robert Parker
Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2011 Reserve Shiraz is brimming with aromas of raw red meat, blackberries, red currants and tar with hints of aniseed, peppered salami and earth. Light to medium-bodied, the palate doesn’t quite deliver what the nose promises in that it is a tad lean and lacking. The low to medium level of tannins are ripe and approachable while there’s a refreshing acid line carrying the savory, peppery flavors through to a decent finish. Drink it now to 2018+.

96 Points James Halliday
Full crimson-purple; takes up where the Marked Tree Red left off; licorice, pepper and black fruits (cherry and berry) eloquently speak through the bouquet, the intense and long palate with blackberry fruit, powerful but balanced tannins and quality French oak all making the wine what it is. Drink to 2031.
