Coming from Penfolds’ Kalimna Block 25, the 2010 Cellar Reserve Kalimna Mataro displays a deep garnet-purple color and aromas of warm blackberries, crushed plums and mulberries with a fragrant undercurrent of lilacs, mint and underbrush. Medium to full bodied and richly fruited in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of grainy tannins, refreshing acidity and a long savory finish. Drink this one now to 2019+.
