Huon Hooke
Deep red colour with a purple tint in the rim; the bouquet has a high-toned fragrance of root vegetables, reflecting stem inclusion. It's quite full-bodied and highly structured on the palate, with ample tannins and savoury grip, the oak and stalk combination adding a savoury leathery note to the back-palate. This is just a baby and needs time to blossom and display its full worth. It expands on the finish and has very good length. Lots of potential.

98 Points James Halliday
Deeper and brighter colour than that of its '12 siblings; here rich satsuma plum sets the pace for the bouquet and sumptuously layered palate; its length is prodigious, its balance impeccable, its purity shining like a beacon. Drink to 2022.
