91.5 Points Robert Parker
Deep purple-black in color, the 2011 Grey Label Shiraz offers up alluring notes of Christmas cake, prunes, spice box and mulberries with underlying chocolate, potpourri and clove hints. Medium to full-bodied with tons of evolving black berry and baking spice flavors filling the palate, it has an approachable frame of soft, velvety tannins and balanced acidity, finishing long. Drink it now to 2020.

94 Points James Halliday
Excellent crimson-purple; if ever proof was needed that the best vineyards in McLaren Vale fared remarkably well in '11, this wine provides it. The flavours are precise, reflecting perfectly ripened fruit, with some dark chocolate along with the generous French and American oak (what else?); the tannins have their usual glossy polish. Drink to 2021.
