The vines come from cuttings of the 120yo vines on Block 6, re-establishing the 4.85ha hillside vineyard. Open-fermented, basket pressed, matured for 20 months in American and Baltic oak. Deep crimson-purple; full-bodied, but more approachable than Block 6, its brooding black fruits and bitter chocolate balanced by good tannin and oak, providing a very long palate. Drink to 2037.
