Huon Hooke
Deep red/purple colour. The bouquet is shy and subdued but clean and correct, with good cabernet fruit hints. The palate is full and rich, smooth and supple, with expansive flavour and generosity, and is remarkably approachable although it appears to have a rosy cellaring future. It's rich and profound in fruit and flavour, a classic cabernet of real style and charm. (13% malbec; 1% petit verdot)

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has earthy, cedar-laced notes enveloping a core of crushed blackberries and red currants plus some smoke and black pepper hints. Medium to full-bodied, it gives a lot of fruit and freshness in the mouth that is supported on a solid foundation of firm, chewy tannins. It finishes long. Drink it now to 2019+.

Bright, clear crimson-purple; the bouquet sets the scene with its pristine display of redcurrant and blackcurrant fruit, with the barest hint of cedar, the silky medium-bodied palate unhurriedly imposing itself on the way through to the lingering finish. Classic restraint. Drink to 2032.

Black fruit depth meets fragrant violet lift. Vasse Felix captures ripeness, intensity and fruit concentration in a well-honed, medium-bodied style, built for the long-haul. Tannins are well structured and supportive, yet very fine and polished, drawing the finish out very long. Another great Vasse Felix for the cellar. Drink 2022 - 2032.
