Deep but not very dark colour; the bouquet very cabernet, with clean, fresh, very varietal blackcurrants and a leafy high-note. A concentrated wine of great depth and masses of tannin. It's quite firm and solid, an impressive wine of tremendous length. Lively acidity gives firmness and nerve. A very long-term aging wine.

Full purple-crimson hue. An elegant Wendouree Cabernet Sauvignon, only 2yo? Oxymoron? Believe me, this is the epitome of elegance in cabernet terms, with a fluid line and mouthfeel, cassis and a hint of mint to the fore, fine-grained tannins as much on the aftertaste as the finish. A wine that progressively reveals its latent power as it is re-tasted again and again. Drink to 2048.
