95 Points James Halliday
Open-fermented, and matured in new and 1yo French oak for 18 months. Bright crimson-purple; this is all about line, length and persistence, not about depth or power in the conventional sense. Its problem - if it be that - is it is so silky and juicy it could be enjoyed today, long before any secondary aromas and flavours are given a chance to add the complexity that undoubtedly lies in wait. Drink to 2049.
