91 Points Robert Parker
The 2013 The Reservation Shiraz is actually the same wine as the 2013 North Barossa Vintners Shiraz, but with less time in barrel—about six months less maturation time. This label is sold domestically via Dan Murphy's, while the other is the export label. Very deep purple-black colored, this is comparatively more primary, possessing vibrant crushed blueberries and blackberries notes, with a floral and anise undercurrent. Big, rich and bold in the mouth, it has a really taut backbone and firm, muscular fruit, finishing long.
