Huon Hooke
Deep, dense red/purple colour. Vanilla and blackberry aromas, sweetly super-ripe and rich, classic Aussie red aromas and flavours. Big with a very firm tannic palate that builds ironstone and black pepper characters. A bit raw and aggressive as yet, with faintly bitter tannins to close. Needs time to settle down a bit. Certainly has intensity and extraction, essency super-ripe flavour and lots of guts.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Nest Egg Shiraz is intensely scented nose of crushed blackberries and blackcurrants with underlying nuances of dried mint, dark chocolate and star anise. Youthful blackberry flavors complemented by a subtle minty lift fill the medium-bodied palate and are supported with fine-grained tannins through a finish with great length. Drink it now to 2020+.

Deep crimson-purple a medium- to full-bodied, very rich and complex wine, with scrumptious black fruits and spices in super-abundance supported by high quality oak and fine, ripe tannins. A long and distinguished life ahead. Major UK trophy successes. Drink to 2035.
