Ranked #7 of 16 1997 Shiraz from Barossa Valley
Faintly minty aromas, clean and fresh and vital. Intense and lively, fresh and zippy, with bright red and darker fruits. Like this a lot. A bit tough perhaps.
Drink: 2013 to 2022
89 Points James Halliday
Medium red-purple; youthful plummy fruit with some earthy/charry notes on the bouquet introduces a pleasant, indeed pretty, wine which lacks the intensity of the '96 and won't go on forever, but by any other comparison is a good wine. Drink to 2010.
