91 Points Robert Parker
Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Shiraz The Malcolm has a profoundly scented nose of fragrant earth, underbrush, sweaty leather and mossy bark over a core of stewed plums and dried mulberries plus a touch of cumin seeds. Full-bodied, it fills the mouth with earthy/gamy flavors supported by chewy tannins and refreshing acidity, finishing long and mineral-tinged.

88 Points James Halliday
It's thick and rich with licorice, dense blackberry and saltbush character talking loud. It's also gamey and leathery and drying. For all its might, it's not going to make old bones. Drink to 2020.
