(500ml) Light to medium straw colour, with a tinge of pink from the skins of the pinot gris grapes. It's quite oily in texture. The bouquet is malty, smoky, cold tea and spicy peach nectar, some apricot too, the palate less sweet than expected, finishing with a marked phenolic bitterness, which adds spine and helps dry the finish. With cheese, the bitter tannins disappear.
