Ranked #16 of 80 2017 Riesling from Clare Valley
95/100
5 Stars
Huon Hooke
Very light, almost pale yellow hue, with a discreet but intense aroma of lime leaf, lemon peel and pith. Dry and crisp on the palate, it's a quite powerful, expressive, generously flavoured riesling with tremendous length of palate. A tighter, more reserved wine than the Churinga or the 5452.

Peglidis presents itself as a wine of intensity and depth with complex flavours that are quite savoury in outlook. Coriander seeds, lemon salt, aspirin and wet slate. Of course, there's excellent fruit and acid balance, both key to its vibrancy, detail and potential age-worthiness. On song. Drink to 2033.
