96 Points James Halliday
The colour is remarkable for a 7yo McLaren Vale shiraz of high quality. The bouquet is nigh-on perfect, still fragrant, and the wine has spicy/savoury blackcurrant fruit as the leader of the pack on its medium-bodied palate. 18 months in used French oak got it off to a flying start. Drink to 2030.
