Huon Hooke
Medium red colour with purple tints and a bouquet that smacks of Campari and bitter Italian herb tonics, with high-notes of ginger and mint. The wine is light-bodied and fine-boned, ethereal and tangy, with quite high acidity. There's a hint of sourness and the wine is a little unbalanced. Best with food.

Built on structure and to age. There's a push of cherried/strawberried fruit but this is sinewy, spicy and long, its underbelly tickled with deli meat and undergrowth, its aftertaste savoury and sustained. In short, it hits quality dead centre. Drink to 2032.
