88 Points Robert Parker
The red wines begin with the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon “Amy’s,” a wine sourced from younger vineyards and which was aged in French oak, 25% new, for 14 months. Purple-colored, it exhibits an enticing bouquet of smoky oak, toast, cassis, and black currant. This leads to a medium-bodied, elegant wine with a solid core of red and black fruits, good depth and balance, enough structure to evolve for 2-4 years, and a medium-long finish. Drink this stylish Cabernet through 2020.
