95 Points Robert Parker
The 2002 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées is a wine that I have tasted three or four times, although nothing quite matches this astonishing showing. It has an outstanding bouquet with red fruit, truffle, dried blood and minerals--very typical of this vineyard and just an absolute joy. The palate is supremely well focused with a killer line of acidity, wondrous tension, utterly complex with truffle and almost an animally note on the sustained finish that fans out with such confidence and brio. This just has that touch of magic. Tasted October 2016.
