91 Points Robert Parker
From purchased grapes, the Liger-Belair 2005 Corton Les Rognets smells tartly and pungently of sour cherry and herbs. This is refined in tannins, silky in feel and with an intricate interplay of fresh cherry, cherry pit, chalk and high-toned herbs. A rich, low-toned resonance of fruit pit, chalk and roasted meats rolls along in the finish. This offers depth and dynamic worthy of at least 5-7 years in the cellar.
