91 Points Robert Parker
A refined side of Chassagne comes through vividly in the 2010 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Macherelles, a gorgeous wine that impresses for its beautiful, textured fruit. The only thing missing is a little bit of persistence on the finish, but I imagine that will come as these vines (planted in 2003) acquire age. Bright floral notes and a hint of crushed rocks linger on the finish. The 2010 is the first vintage to be sold as a premier cru as previously this fruit was used for the villages. Anticipated maturity: 2012+.
