Huon Hooke
Deep, dense red/purple colour, bright and youthful. The bouquet is coconutty and sweet-plummy, borderline jammy, with a little crème de cassis. Is it all shiraz? The palate is full-bodied and arguably just a tad overripe. There's a slight dip in the middle followed by a lot of drying tannin to conclude. I'd cellar it a while. Massive concentration, but it's a bit overpowering and has little detail or finesse.
