Huon Hooke
Medium to deep red colour with a tinge of purple, the bouquet spicy and lifted, with some flesh and richness and soft tannins which run throughout. There's a bit of VA (volatile acidity) here. The wine is elegant and easy to enjoy young, but there is a disturbing trace of volatility.

This is the third time fruit from the Mistletoe home vineyard has received the Grand Reserve label, reflecting the major amount of work in bringing the yield up to 2t/a. Small batch fermented with 30% whole bunches, matured in French puncheons (30% new). Deeply coloured, it is full-bodied and will coast through decades to come. A great reflection of the vintage. Drink to 2047.
