The 2015 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur has a very attractive bouquet with hints of praline, white chocolate and yellow flowers and is very expressive and seductive. The palate is very well balanced with a subtle marine influence on the entry. It is harmonious with white peach and a touch of lychee on the fresh and poised finish. This delicious grand cru could actually be broached now, although it will give at least a decade's drinking pleasure.

A ripe and attractively fresh nose combines notes of pear, white peach, sea shell, iodine and wood nuances. There is exceptional richness to the almost viscous and powerful broad-shouldered flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that also serves to buffer the relatively firm acid spine on the austere and serious finale that, somewhat curiously, simultaneously exhibits a touch of sweetness. Once again, this should age well over the mid-term but also be accessible young. Drink to 2023+.
