Medium to deep red/purple, a bright youthful colour. The bouquet is loaded with pepper, spices and earthy notes, with that particular earthy pepperiness of Barossa mataro. The palate is sinewy, drying and savoury, with a lovely core of dark plum and cherry pulled into line at the finish by fine, persistent tannins. Lovely wine.
