(Barossa Valley) Deep red, faint purple; quite developed hue. Simple plum and earth aromas, some jammy touches, and it turns very sweet in the mouth, with syrupy overripe flavour and sticky tannins. A strange touch of carbon dioxide gives it an inappropriate prickle on the tongue. Then the hard, extracted, slightly bitter tannins wash in and dominate the finish. No thanks.
