        Huon Hooke
Very deep, bright red/purple colour. Rich black-fruit bouquet with notes of aniseed and graphite and blackberry jam, which is picked up by the palate. It’s very full-bodied, rich and powerful, with a warmth of alcohol resonating on the aftertaste.

The vine age in these two vineyards of the warmer, northern reaches of the Heathcote region are really showing sophistication with release. This vintage the nose is subtle yet complex. Hints of minerals, crushed rock and cracked black pepper. Opaque in colour, this wine is approachable straight away, with a sweet mid palate of mocha coffee, cassis liquor, cola and tilled earth. Time in the mouth reveals ironstone earth, pomegranates, undergrowth, fleshy rhubarb and gritty tannins. Mouth filling. Cellar some, be rewarded! 100% Shiraz. Enjoy for 8 – 15 years+. Bottled in 750mL only.
