Profound red/purple colour, impressive depth and hue. The bouquet is similarly profound, complex, mysterious, hard to describe it's so detailed. Forest floor, autumnal leaves, pot pourri, balsamic herbs and dark cherry for starters. A bunchy nose. The palate is full and round, ample and fascinating in its detail and depth. It's very concentrated but also relaxed and effortless. More up-front than Block 5. A masterful pinot and a high-point for this wine.
